Today we didn't do much. It was so cold outside!
We went out to get some breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts first. I had a bagel with tuna salad and a tea. Then we went in town to Rockefeller Centre. After that we took a Subway to the rehearsal studios. We went to my dad's old drummer's studio, Ultrasound. We asked him some questions about running a business like that and what he does each day. It seemed like he had a very busy life. We walked around in the building for a few minutes afterwards. It was a pretty old building but very cool. The walls were all old and the doors were very heavy.
We were planning to have dinner with an other old band member but the plan changed. My sister Christina arrived at half past 7 so we came up to meet her there. She came by bus on Chrystie and Hester Street neat Chinatown. So while waiting for her, we got a preview of Chinatown. We went into some crazy shops where you could barely walk because everything was so full. We saw some grilled pig noses and ears, those were disgusting. Before dinner we got a small snack, some dumplings. They were pretty good, I never had them before. We also bought some weird tea drinks which were pretty good but some sort of raisins we bought were HORRIBLE. Really, they were disgusting. It tasted like smoke and some weird bitter stuff.
Anywaysss, we went to have dinner at an Italian restaurant in little Italy. We had lasagna and cannolis which were great! Outside it was full of Christmas lights and limousines.
Taking the Subway back to the hotel was sooo cold. We walked as fast as possible haha! I am also starting to know the neighborhood now. It's very easy over here. The streets have numbers. We're on 17th street on the East side. So it's easy to find your way.
Unfortunately we didn't make any pictures today. It was just to cold to get the camera out. Haha! Tomorrow we are probably going to see the Natural History Museum of NY. Then we can be inside out of the cold and still get a taste of NYC!
C Ya!
